# AppealMyTax > AppealMyTax is a nationwide property tax appeal service. We sell a flat $49 do-it-yourself appeal packet (no percentage cut, no contingency, homeowner keeps 100% of savings) and a free over-assessment calculator. Seven states have per-parcel data live in the calculator, covering roughly 22.7 million parcels: Florida (all 67 counties, ~8.3M parcels from the FL DOR NAL roll), Texas (14 counties, ~5.1M), New York (~3.2M, plus a real-time NYC Department of Finance lookup), New Jersey (~2.5M), Illinois (Cook County, ~1.6M), Pennsylvania (Allegheny, Montgomery and Bucks, ~1.1M), and Colorado (~0.9M). Full, statute-cited appeal guides — with the correct form, deadline, appeal board, and step-by-step process — are live for Texas, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois, with every other U.S. state plus DC available as a waitlist page. Georgia has address-level assessment data for Fulton and DeKalb (~0.6M parcels) but its county source publishes no building square footage, so Georgia gets the full statutory guide rather than a comparable-sales analysis. Our Texas study analyzed 4.8 million residential parcels across county appraisal records and found over 1 million homes assessed above comparable sales in their neighborhood, an estimated $1.5 billion in annual overpayment. In Florida, Ownwell charges a 35% contingency (vs 25% in Texas); AppealMyTax is $49 flat either way. ## Coverage by State - [All States Hub](https://appealmytax.dev/states): Property tax appeal coverage for all 50 states + DC - [Texas](https://appealmytax.dev/texas): ARB protest, Form 50-132, May 15 deadline — full per-parcel over-assessment data, 14 counties - [Florida](https://appealmytax.dev/florida): VAB petition, Form DR-486, ~25 days after the August TRIM notice, $15 fee. LIVE per-parcel data for all 67 counties (~8.3M parcels): free address check + $49 pre-filled DR-486 kit with ZIP-matched comps - [Georgia](https://appealmytax.dev/georgia): Board of Equalization, Form PT-311A, 45 days from the Annual Notice of Assessment, no fee. Fulton County's 2026 deadline is Friday, July 31, 2026 (per Fulton County; the date printed on your own notice controls) - [Colorado](https://appealmytax.dev/colorado): County Board of Equalization, protest in early June after the May 1 Notice of Valuation, no fee - [New Jersey](https://appealmytax.dev/new-jersey): County Board of Taxation, Form A-1, typically April 1 (May 1 in revaluation towns) - [New York](https://appealmytax.dev/new-york): Board of Assessment Review, Form RP-524, Grievance Day (often the 4th Tuesday in May; NYC and Nassau differ) - [Pennsylvania](https://appealmytax.dev/pennsylvania): County Board of Assessment Appeals, no statewide form, on or before September 1 (53 Pa.C.S. §8844(c)(1); a county may set a date no earlier than August 1). Allegheny is September 1 — it moved from March 31 effective tax year 2026, so older guides are stale. Philadelphia is the first Monday in October under a separate law. LIVE per-parcel data for Allegheny, Montgomery and Bucks - [Illinois](https://appealmytax.dev/illinois): County Board of Review, no statewide form, no single statewide deadline. Cook County files township by township on the dates in each township's notice (35 ILCS 200/16-115); other counties run 30 days from publication of the assessment list (35 ILCS 200/16-55). Cook assesses residential at 10% of market value; the rest of Illinois uses 33⅓%. LIVE per-parcel data for Cook County ## Core Resources - [Free Calculator](https://appealmytax.dev/calculator): Check any Texas or Florida address for over-assessment - [Texas Over-Assessment Study](https://appealmytax.dev/study): Full 14-county analysis with methodology - [Florida Assessment Cap Gap Study](https://appealmytax.dev/study/florida-cap-gap): $994.4B shielded by Save Our Homes + the 10% cap on the 2025 roll (8.29M parcels, all 67 counties); 28.4% of FL homes have no cap protection.
